Research paper
Identify a current topic/issue that you can easily find a discussion in the local or national media. Part one will introduce the topic/issue and explain why it is important to study using social science methods. Part one will be 3-4 double-spaced pages identifying the topic or issue you propose to examine and its importance. To support the relevance of the topic/issue today, you will need to refer to and cite at least one news article. What policy or policies could impact this topic/issue? In thinking about this topic or issue, you will need to identity what the overarching research question would be for the project. This document will serve as the foundation that each segment of the project will build on for the remainder of the semester.
