Religious art
Write a 600-900 word paper in which you discuss a piece of Art from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. You have two ways to do this:1) Go to the online art collection and browse some of the art (https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection). Choose a piece of art that you resonate with and write about it, first describing its form and then discussing what about it is powerful or meaningful to you. BE SURE TO PICK A PIECE OF ART THAT RELATES TO DAOISM
Describe the piece, if possible, performing a formal analysis, and then discuss what it means to you. In other word, discuss what about it was compelling to you, why you chose it, and/or what is powerful or meaningful about it.
You should not use outside sources (however, you may use the description of the artwork on the Met’s website)
when you write the paper be sure to cite the work of art in your bibliography, if possible providing a link to an image of the work of art on the Met website.
