Conflict Analysis Paper

· Option B: Research Review. This assignment requires that you select a context/relationship of conflict (i.e., parent-child, friendship, organizations, etc.) or a specific type of Alternative Dispute Resolution (i.e., mediation, arbitration, adjudication, etc.) and review the most relevant literature that has been most recently published. A minimum of 5 references will be required, beyond the course material. You should synthesize the literature in order to make valid conclusions regarding your context or ADR technique of choice. In other words, you should read the articles with a critical eye to see their general claims and what methodological issues problematize these findings. You should make sound arguments for what this field of research contributes to communication as a whole. You should also critically analyze the articles you read and state what is missing in this field of research and where the literature should extend to in the future. This summary and critique should include the theories most applied to this relationship/context and/or what theories you think should be applied. Your opinions must be embedded and defended by the literature you read. This should be an expansive review of conflict literature in a focused area (i.e. type of relationship) and you should make claims on what the field provides and lacks.
