For this paper you will analyze a current international event/phenomena and utilizing one theory of
international relations you will explain the behavior of actors in the system — states, international
governmental organizations, international NGOs, multinational corporations, groups and individuals. It
should be about 7 pages double-spaced. You should include in-text citations in APA format and a
reference page. Make sure that your paper is in-depth and analytical. Approach this issue as a scientist.
The paper should include the following sections
1) What is the event/phenomena (only a few sentences).
2) Utilize one theory of international relations to explain the behavior of actors in the international
political arena (only include the relevant actors, you do not need to include all of the ones listed above).
Do not describe actions, but explain how their actions reflect the theory you have picked.
3) Contrast this interpretation with another international relations theory. How might actors behave
differently if an alternative theory is more accurate.
4) Predict what the future will bring based on your theory
