Review the arguments made in the Executive Summary portion of the Presidential Council’s “Human Cloning and Human Dignity” Report that pertain to human cloning for biomedical research. Pay particular attention to “Position Number One” under the section of the Executive Summary found under subheading A “The Moral Case for Cloning-for-Biomedical-Research. With regard to said Position Number One” in support of cloning for biomedical research, write a 2-4 page essay that identifies the three theories used to advance their argument and explain how they used the principles of the each theory to support or make their arguments. Be sure to identify and explain the principles/keywords used in the report that support each theory identified, much like we did in this past week’s classes. INSTRUCTIONS:

3. Essays must be a minimum of two (2) full pages. Quotations exceeding three lines must be properly indented and single-spaced with proper attribution given to the author and source.
4. Essays must not be plagiarized in whole or in part. See BCC Student Handbook and Library Tutorial on Plagiarism if you are confused as to what constitutes Plagiarism. “I didn’t know that was plagiarism . . .” is not an adequate excuse for plagiarism. Knowing what plagiarism is and avoiding its consequences is solely the responsibility of the college student.
5. Essays must clearly and accurately identify and explain three cognitive moral theories used in the arguments chosen and the basic moral principles that constitute or support said arguments/theories. A well-organized and well-written five (5) or six (6) paragraph essay will generally suffice.
